Alison Garfield currently serves as a Threat Intelligence Analyst at Block, where Alison initiated and oversees the organization's first Geopolitical & Security Threat Intelligence program. Alison also holds the position of Compliance Policy, Training and Reporting Lead at the Truman National Security Project. Previous roles include Security Fellow at Charles Schwab, Senior Manager for Financial Crimes Risk Management at HSBC, and Client Intelligence Analyst in the Financial Intelligence Unit at the UK Ministry of Defence. Additionally, Alison was detailed to the UK Ministry of Defence's Strategy team during the 2015 Strategic Defence and Security Review. Early career experiences include various policy analyst roles at the United States Department of Defense, including positions focused on countering weapons of mass destruction and homeland defense, as well as a budget and programs analyst for the U.S. Senate Subcommittee on Defense Appropriations. Alison holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy from The LBJ School of Public Affairs and a Bachelor of Arts in History (Modern Europe) from Barnard College.
