Anand Deshmukh

Anand Deshmukh is an AI/ML leader with extensive experience in overseeing machine learning and deep learning projects, particularly in risk management, natural language processing, and computer vision. Currently, they lead AI research initiatives for Kabbage, an American Express company, and have held roles such as Director of AI Research and Staff Machine Learning Engineer at Block. Anand’s previous work includes optimizing energy equipment selection at GE Global Research and advancing digital agriculture through machine learning at Bayer. They earned a Bachelor of Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and a PhD in Systems Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
