Daniel Cook

Daniel Cook is an experienced professional in computer security and Unix/Linux engineering, currently serving in a Computer Security Incident Response role at Block since October 2021. Prior to this, Daniel accumulated extensive experience at Oracle from August 2008 to October 2021, where responsibilities included Computer Security Incident Response, Identity Management Support, and Linux HPC Engineering. Additional experience includes positions as a Unix/Linux Engineer at IBM Australia, Proactive Unix Engineer at ANZ Bank, and Service Engineer at Sun Microsystems. Daniel also has a background in managing financial applications at National Australia Bank and served as a Unix Engineer with Defence. Daniel holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Science (Information Security and Assurance) from RMIT University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (Honours) from James Cook University.
