Douwe Osinga is a seasoned software engineer and entrepreneur with a diverse background in technology and content creation. Currently a Software Engineer at Block since November 2024, Osinga has also contributed significantly to O'Reilly Media as an author, publishing the "Deep Learning Cookbook." Prior experience includes founding Neptyne, serving as Senior Director of Engineering at Sidewalk Labs, and leading Triposo, a travel tech startup that leveraged NLP and machine learning to automate travel guide creation. Osinga's early career at Google included pivotal roles in developing Google Wave and the core search engine. As a founder and CTO of World66, Osinga played a key role in creating one of the first user-generated travel wikis. Osinga holds Master's degrees in Artificial Intelligence and Philosophy from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
