Jeffrey Mathew

Jeffrey Mathew is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in software engineering and systems architecture. Currently serving as Principal Engineer for Point of Sale at Block since June 2023, Jeffrey previously held the role of Group Tech Lead at Twitter, where contributions were made to various growth-oriented products and platforms. Prior to Twitter, Jeffrey worked at Indeed.com as Principal Software Engineer, driving initiatives in job ranking and relevance, and also served as Staff Software Engineer, where a new advertising platform was established. Earlier experience includes a Senior Server Engineer position at Sony Online Entertainment, where performance and scalability were pivotal during the growth of DC Universe Online, and a Software Engineer role at National Instruments, where the first web-based hardware detection tool was designed. Jeffrey holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science & Engineering from The Ohio State University.
