Rachel Potvin

Rachel Potvin currently serves as the Platform Engineering Lead at Block, focusing on enhancing developer experience and supporting a diverse ecosystem of brands, including Cash App and Square. Previously, Rachel held the position of SVP of Engineering at Sanity.io, where leadership of the Engineering team was pivotal. Rachel's experience also includes the role of VP of Engineering at GitHub, overseeing a team of over 500 developers and working on key products to improve developer productivity and secure open source technology. Early career experiences span significant positions at Google, Deloitte, and Ubisoft, where Rachel contributed to cloud services, IT strategy, and game development. Rachel holds an MBA from McGill University and has also studied at HEC Montréal.
