Tej Gaur currently serves as the Senior Director of Engineering at Block since February 2022, following a distinguished tenure at Afterpay that began in February 2015, where roles included Senior Director of Payments & Instore Engineering and Director of Payments and International Expansion. At Afterpay, Tej is a key stakeholder in the global payments technology stack, overseeing feature development, stakeholder management, and partner relations. Previous experience includes program management of the Optus Pre-paid recharge platform and merchant integrations at Afterpay, as well as roles at Touchcorp, where responsibilities encompassed application support and software release management, and early experience as a software engineer at Thales Australia. Tej holds a Bachelor of Computer Systems Engineering with Honors from La Trobe University.
