Tom Bedor

Tom Bedor is a seasoned professional in machine learning and data engineering, currently serving as a Machine Learning Engineering Manager at Block since March 2017. In this role, Tom has successfully led a team of six, focusing on leveraging machine learning for credit products within CashApp, resulting in over $300 million in monthly originations across six products. Tom's experience spans software engineering, data infrastructure management, and analytics, with previous roles at HealthLoop, DWA, and Preventice, where diverse contributions included developing data pipelines, analytics applications, and client-facing dashboards. Tom holds a Master's degree in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology and a Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience, both from the University of Minnesota.
