Tom Metcalfe

Tom Metcalfe possesses extensive experience in strategy and operations across multiple industries, currently serving as the Head of Strategy & Operations at Block since March 2020. In this role, Tom leads annual planning, budget management, and compliance-related financial oversight while driving strategic initiatives. Previously, as the Global Head of Strategic Operations, Compliance at Block, Tom acted as Chief of Staff and oversaw various operational functions. At Square, Tom contributed significantly as Product Lead, establishing a product compliance team and automating disputes management. Tom's earlier experience includes leadership roles at Salesforce, where responsibility encompassed P&L management and operational efficiency, as well as sales development positions at Student Lending Analytics and Trafford Publishing. Tom holds a BSc in Politics and Anthropology from Oxford Brookes University.
