Roy van der Valk

Roy van der Valk is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in data science, engineering, and consultancy. As co-founder of Blockbax since February 2018, Roy has focused on developing software that enables asset experts to leverage sensor data for competitive advantage. Prior to this role, Roy offered consultancy services to various clients such as BAM and Mendix from September 2015 to January 2018. Roy's career includes a data scientist position at Adyen from March 2014 to June 2015 and a significant tenure at Mendix as a software engineer from 2007 to 2014. Educational qualifications include an MSc in Systems Engineering, Policy Analysis and Management from Delft University of Technology, as well as BSc degrees in Systems Engineering and a minor in Finance, Marketing, and Sociology from ISEG and Delft University of Technology. Roy has also contributed as a member of the Advisory Board and Treasurer for YES!Delft Students from 2011 to 2015.
