John Filbert joined Blockchain Capital as Controller and Compliance Specialist in December 2021. John manages the quarterly and annual reporting, compliance and portfolio monitoring functions.
Before joining Blockchain Capital, John served on the finance and accounting team at Foundation Capital. John managed the quarterly and annual reporting, tracking key firm metrics and portfolio company monitoring. Prior to Foundation Capital, John worked in a management role at a back office group and held senior associate roles at both national and international public accounting firms, last at Grant Thornton in the Cayman Islands. John served clients in the financial services industry, including broker-dealers and private capital funds.
John received a B.S in Business Administration from California State University, Chico and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) in the State of California.
