Alexandre Karlov

Alexandre Karlov is an accomplished professional in the fields of security and cryptography engineering, currently serving as the Director of Security and Cryptography Engineering at Blockdaemon since September 2022. As Co-Founder and Technical Director at AKYmed since March 2019, Alexandre oversees the CASA product's development and customer integration. Previous roles include serving as CTO and VP of Security at Cysec SA, where strategic leadership in security was demonstrated. Alexandre has an extensive academic background, including a professorship at HES-SO Haute école spécialisée de Suisse occidentale, focusing on information security research and education. Earlier career milestones include his role as Cybersecurity Program Manager at Kudelski Security and as a Cryptography Engineer at Nagravision SA - Kudelski Group, where contributions to cryptographic research and security projects were significant. Alexandre holds a PhD and MSc in Computer, Communication, and Information Sciences from EPFL.
