Morten Værum

Morten Værum has significant work experience in various roles related to software engineering, cryptography, and secure systems. Morten is currently working at Blockdaemon as the Director of Cryptography Engineering and previously held the position of Principal Software Engineer. Prior to this, they worked at Sepior/KMaaS as a Senior Software Architect, where they designed secure multiparty computation (MPC) applications for blockchain, crypto wallets, key management, and data encryption in the cloud. Morten also served as the team lead, handling architecture and project management. Before that, Morten worked at CLC bio, a QIAGEN Company, as a Senior Application Architect, specializing in designing and implementing persistence systems for handling large biological data. Morten has also held positions at Mjølner Informatics as a Senior Software Engineer, optimizing JIT compilers for tele central and web development, at Kamstrup as a Senior Systems Engineer, and at Cryptomathic as a Software Architect. Morten started their career at Tietoenator as a Software Developer.

Morten Værum completed a M.Sc. in Computer Science and mathematics from Aarhus University between 1993 and 1999. In addition, they attended Grauballe and Silkeborg Amtsgymnasium, but no specific degrees or fields of study were mentioned for these schools.
