Dan Schak

Dan Schak has over 12 years of experience in trading operations and development. In 2020, they were appointed as the Head of Trading Operations at BlockFills. From 2018 to 2020, they worked at Bcause LLC as Manager, Spot Operations and Development, where they were the Product Owner and a development team member on an Agile team of five. Dan wrote policies and procedures for spot exchange operations and met daily with the development team. From 2013 to 2018, they worked at Twitch LLC as an FX Trader/Operations and Development Analyst, where they managed the development of proprietary FX spot market making software, identified and executed FX swap and CME futures trading opportunities, and created, developed, and maintained trade analysis software tools. From 2011 to 2013, they worked at Group One Trading, LP as an Equity Options Junior Trader and Index Options Trader and Team Lead. From 2008 to 2010, they worked at Cygnus Atratus LLC as an Index Options Trader and Trader Assistant/Arb Clerk/Analyst. From 2006 to 2008, they worked at IFPC Worldwide, Inc as an Investigator. From 2005 to 2006, they worked at the University of Chicago as a Calculus Teaching Assistant and Tutor.

Dan Schak obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Economics from the University of Chicago in 2008. Prior to that, they received their High School Diploma with Honors from St. Patrick High School in 2004. Additionally, Dan has obtained three certifications: Professional Scrum Product Owner I from Scrum.org in February 2020, PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) from the Project Management Institute in January 2020, and Certified Scrum Master from the Scrum Alliance in February 2020.
