Soadad Farhan

Soadad Farhan has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Soadad is currently working as a Freelance Consultant since February 2022. Prior to that, from 2019 to the present, they served as the Co-founder and CTO of BlockFrauds, a Fardoe Software business. In this role, they utilized generative AI and proprietary algorithms to help insurers detect fraud more effectively and efficiently.

Before their role at BlockFrauds, Soadad worked at Hiscox from 2012 to 2019, where they held multiple positions. Soadad started as the Head of Software Development in 2012, then became the Global Software Development Manager before taking on the role of Head of IT. From 2017 to 2018, they served as the CTO, where they focused on accelerating transformative capabilities and implementing cloud-based self-service capabilities for different business units. Soadad also transitioned the CTO function from operation to technology-enabled business innovation during their tenure.

Prior to their time at Hiscox, Soadad worked at Commonwealth Bank of Australia as the Head of Software Development from 2006 to 2012. Soadad also gained experience at LexisNexis as a Project Manager Technical Lead from 2002 to 2006, BNY Mellon as an Application Architect in 2001, Janus Henderson Investors as a Senior Data Analyst from 2000 to 2001, Siebel Systems (Oracle) as a Systems Architecture Consultant from 1997 to 2000, and Royal Hallamshire Hospital as an Analyst/Programmer from 1995 to 1997.

Soadad Farhan has a diverse education history. Soadad holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Studies from Sheffield Hallam University. Soadad also has a Certificate in the Oxford Blockchain Strategy Programme from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. Soadad has completed a Post Graduate Diploma (PGDip) in Communication Systems and a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Technology and Mathematics, both from Anglia Ruskin University. In addition to their formal education, Soadad has obtained a Diploma in Financial Market (Foreign Exchange Markets) from AFMA in September 2011. Soadad has also achieved further certification in the Oxford Blockchain Strategy Programme from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
