Eddy Travia

Eddy Travia is an advisor at Blockpass. Eddy provides research students of the Blockpass Identity Lab with advice on implementing real world use cases of cryptographic digital identity technologies developed in the lab.

Travia has a long history in the tech industry, starting with their work at Serold Hawaii Inc. from February 2002 to May 2013. At Serold, Travia was the Chief Executive Officer and Director. Eddy was responsible for the company's overall business that generated US$2.3 million in annual revenue. Travia closed the sale of Honolulu-based Serold Hawaii, Inc. to Vienna, Va.-based Defense Group, Inc. in May 2013.

After their work at Serold, Travia became an Industry Advisor at Blockpass Identity Lab from July 2018 to September 2020. In this role, they provided research students of the Blockpass Identity Lab with advice on implementing real world use cases of cryptographic digital identity technologies developed in the lab.

Travia is now an advisor at Blockpass.

Eddy Travia has a certificate in professional mediation from Cornell University ILR School, a certificate in international commercial arbitration from American University, a PhD in political science and government from The University of Hong Kong, and a BA in government and international relations from William & Mary. Eddy also has a HS diploma from HKIS. Eddy is certified from the Association for Conflict Resolution as an associated professional member (APM).
