Eric Alston

Eric Alston serves as a Scholar in Residence and Faculty Director of the Hernando De Soto Capital Markets Program at the University of Colorado Boulder, where responsibilities include teaching economic and legal institutions, researching property law, and developing upper division electives. Alston has extensive experience as a Research Associate with the Comparative Constitutions Project and has contributed to various international organizations such as International IDEA and UNDP, focusing on constitutional design and reform across several countries. Alston holds a J.D. from the University of Chicago, an M.A. in Economics from the University of Maryland, and a B.A. in Economics and Spanish from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
