Byron Hambly

Byron Hambly has held various roles in the tech industry since 2007. Byron started their career as a Web Developer at JHNet Web Development in 2007, where they developed a love for web technologies and development. In 2010, they joined Gloo Digital Design as their Senior Developer, where they were involved in the concept phases through to delivery, maintenance and feature enhancement. From 2014 to 2017, they were the CTO and Software Developer at SystemicLogic Group. Byron then co-founded and served as CTO of Clockboot from 2017 to 2020. Currently, they are a Senior Rust Developer at Tari Labs, and is set to become a Full Stack Software Engineer at Blockstream in 2022.

Byron Hambly began their educational journey at Sandown High School from 1996 to 1998. Byron then attended Damelin College Randburg from 1999 to 2000 and obtained their Matric. Byron continued their studies at the University of the Witwatersrand from 2001 to 2003, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science and Computational and Applied Maths. Finally, they graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2004 with a BSc Honours in Computer Science.
