Monette Stephens

Monette Stephens serves as the VP of Corporate Development at Blockstream since April 2025 and is a Managing Partner at SF Growth Capital and Planet Positive Ventures, roles held since July 2017 and November 2020 respectively. With expertise in capital innovation, strategy, and growth, Monette specializes in corporate development, business development, M&A, private placement, capital markets, DeFi, blockchain/cryptocurrency, and digital securities. As a founding member of the Silicon Valley Blockchain Society since January 2018, Monette has also held positions as a Strategic Advisor at Inspiration Ventures and an Advisor at International Bridges to Justice. Additional contributions include mentorship roles at the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center and a Board Member advisory position at Tollan Worlds. Monette previously worked as COO at VatnFörn and served as a Visiting Lecturer at Blockchain Center, focusing on crypto-finance, law, and regulation. Educational background includes a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from UC Santa Barbara.
