Yida Gao

Yida Gao is currently an advisor at BlockVenture. Prior to that, they were a General Partner at Shima Capital, Divergence Digital Currency, and Struck Capital. Yida also worked as a venture investor at New Enterprise Associates (NEA).

Gao started their career in investment banking, working as a summer analyst at J.P. Morgan and Morgan Stanley in the mergers & acquisitions group. Yida later transitioned into consulting, working as a consultant at McKinsey & Company.

Gao pursued their academic interests by working as a researcher at MIT Sloan School of Management from 2010 to 2013.

Yida Gao has a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics/Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with minors in Finance and Economics. Yida also has an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Yida is certified by FINRA in Series 79.
