Barbara Powell

Barbara Powell is an experienced journalist with a career spanning several notable publications. Starting as a City Hall and education reporter at The Shreveport Journal from September 1988 to March 1991, Barbara then reported for The Times between 1991 and 1993. Following that, a role as a reporter at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram lasted from 1993 to 2001, and thereafter, Barbara worked at the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel from 2001 to 2003. After a brief period at the Associated Press from 2002 to 2003, Barbara transitioned to the San Antonio Express-News until February 2005. Since then, Barbara has been serving as an energy markets reporter at Bloomberg News.
