Ben Carr

Ben Carr serves as the Global Head of Climate Risk Products at Bloomberg, overseeing the strategic vision and implementation of climate risk analytics and solutions since September 2023. Prior to this role, Ben held several key positions at Aviva, including Group Climate and Sustainability Risk Director, where strategic leadership on climate risks was provided, and Analytics and Capital Modelling Director, focusing on integrating climate risk into risk management frameworks and developing Solvency II models. Experience also includes leading the internal model approval process at the Bank of England and contributing to the drafting of the Solvency II Directive at the European Commission. Ben's educational background includes a PhD and MSc in Mathematics from the University of Warwick, as well as a BSc from the University of East Anglia, supplemented by a visiting fellowship at the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment at The London School of Economics and Political Science.
