Dan Hanson is an accomplished economist with extensive experience in both public and private sectors. Currently serving as Chief UK Economist at Bloomberg since January 2024, Dan is responsible for the organization's coverage of the UK and Scandinavia. Prior roles at Bloomberg LP included Senior UK Economist and UK Economist from May 2015 to December 2018. Earlier career experience includes positions at HM Treasury, where Dan worked as Assistant Economist - Fiscal Policy, Policy Analyst - Labour Market Policy, and Economic Adviser - Model Unit from January 2010 to September 2011, as well as an Audit Associate role at Deloitte from October 2007 to April 2008. Dan earned a Master of Science (MSc) in Economic Policy with Distinction from UCL and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) (Hons) in Economics with a 2:1 from the University of Nottingham.
