Di Chen, Ph.D., currently serves as a Senior Climate Data Scientist at Bloomberg, focusing on the Net-Zero Data Public Utility since February 2024, after previously contributing to the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero from March 2022 to March 2024. Chen has a strong background in quantitative methods for scaling transition finance and real-economy decarbonization, with expertise in sectoral decarbonization pathways and greenhouse gas accounting methods. Prior experience includes a postdoctoral position at the University of California, Los Angeles, where hydrological volatility was quantified, and research at the University at Albany, SUNY, involving climate model experiments and teaching atmospheric sciences courses. Chen earned a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Sciences from the University at Albany and a Bachelor of Science in Atmospheric Sciences from Ocean University of China.
