Lisa Beyer

Lisa Beyer has extensive experience in journalism and communications, currently serving as the Explainer team leader and Editor at Bloomberg since April 2011, where responsibilities include producing clear and authoritative explainers on significant news topics. Previously, Lisa held the position of Opinion Editor, focusing on editorials and opinion pieces related to foreign policy and public health. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Vice President of Communications & Advocacy at the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative from 2007 to 2011, and a long tenure at TIME magazine from 1988 to 2007, where Lisa was an Assistant Managing Editor, Jerusalem Bureau Chief, and Writer. Lisa earned a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from The University of Texas at Austin, following education at Acadiana High School.
