Matthew Leonard is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in data engineering and software development. Currently serving as the Head of Storage Engineering at Bloomberg LP since May 2013, Matthew leads teams responsible for designing and maintaining global data storage systems. Previous roles include engineering team lead for the Bloomberg Index Core Data team and senior software engineer focused on enhancing real-time data systems. Matthew's career also encompasses roles at CAE as a CF-18 Systems Software Specialist, research assistant at the University of Toronto, and various engineering positions at BlackBerry, where contributions included automation tools engineering and optimizing data protocols. Matthew holds a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering from Western University, complemented by a diploma from Fanshawe College in Computer Programming.
