Reto Bachmann

Reto Bachmann is a seasoned finance professional with a background in credit research and structured finance. They served as the Global Sector Lead for Real Estate, Infrastructure, and Structured Finance at Aviva Investors from 2017 to 2022, following roles as Head of Credit Research and Senior Credit Research Analyst there. Prior to Aviva, Reto held various leadership positions including Associate Director and Director roles at Lehman Brothers, and Head of European ABS Research at Barclays Capital, where they consistently achieved top rankings in industry investor polls. Reto possesses an extensive academic background with a Ph.D. in Business from The University of Chicago and multiple degrees in finance and economics from prestigious institutions including Boston University and the University of Pennsylvania. Currently, Reto is the BI Chief Structured Finance Strategist at Bloomberg and is slated to serve as a Structured Finance Supervisor at the Financial Conduct Authority in 2023.
