William Nelson

William Nelson is a product manager at Bloomberg Power & Gas, overseeing a comprehensive range of offerings in power, gas, carbon, and LNG. Previously, they served as the Director of Analysis at BloombergNEF for over a decade, where they pioneered analytics and launched a division focused on U.S. power. Their background includes roles as an analyst at The Earth Institute and as an assistant producer at Electronic Arts, where they contributed to significant projects. William also shares their expertise as an adjunct professor at New York University, teaching a graduate course in energy and finance, and has previously held a similar role at Columbia University. William earned a Master of Public Administration in Energy Policy and Finance from Columbia University and a BS in Physics from UC Santa Barbara.
