Sam Gandhi

Sam Gandhi is an experienced geographer and geospatial specialist with a robust background in various roles across leading organizations. Currently serving as a Freelance Geographer and Director at The Jolly Geographer since November 2018, Sam is also recognized as the author of The Jolly Geo Quizzes. With extensive experience at Blue Ventures, focusing on mapping mangrove deforestation, and the RSPB, contributing to critical projects such as the Gough Island Restoration Programme, Sam has demonstrated expertise in geospatial analysis and data management. Additional roles include a Senior Data Analyst at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and a Geospatial Analyst at the UK Ministry of Defence. Sam holds an MSc in Environmental Monitoring, Modelling & Management from King's College London and a BA in Geography from The London School of Economics and Political Science.
