Senior Software Infrastructure Engineer at Blu Wireless

James Sloan has a diverse work experience in software engineering. James started their career as a Graduate Software Engineer at e2v in September 2014 and worked there until April 2017. James then joined Teledyne Anafocus as a Software Engineer in May 2017 and remained there until December 2020. At Teledyne Anafocus, James was involved in the development and testing of imaging test platforms and demonstration kits using Python, embedded C, C++, C#, GenICam, and SVN.

In 2021, James joined RAL Space as a Software Engineer, where they worked on the Luna-27 ProSEED generic camera interface and associated tooling, including the development of a CI pipeline incorporating code coverage and static analysis. James also worked on ground segment software for satellite data processing, primarily using Python.

Currently, James is working at Blu Wireless as a Senior Software Infrastructure Engineer since April 2023.

James Sloan attended St Aidan's C of E High School from 2002 to 2009. James obtained their MPhys (Hons) degree in Physics from Durham University from 2009 to 2013. In addition to their formal education, they also obtained certifications in C Programming for Embedded Systems from Doulos in November 2015 and an APM Project Management Introductory Certificate from APM in July 2015.
