Michael Lyons

Michael Lyons has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Michael started their career in 2004 as an Engineering Laboratory Technician and Nuclear Mechanical Operator in the US Navy, where they were responsible for maintaining and controlling reactor plant chemistry and providing radiological coverage for nuclear operations. From 2009 to 2012, they worked as a Supervisor of Radiological Controls at Naval Submarine Base New London, overseeing nuclear maintenance and repairs for a fleet of submarines. In 2012, they joined Integrated Power Services as a Plant Engineer for Nuclear Electric Motors, where they excelled in communication, LEAN program implementation, and problem-solving. Since 2016, they have been working as a Lead EV Design Engineer at Blue Bird Corporation, integrating electric vehicle powertrain and creating 3D models for the design of electric school buses. Throughout their career, Michael has demonstrated expertise in technical areas, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to teamwork and meeting deadlines.

Michael Lyons attended the University of New Orleans from 1998 to 2002, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
