Steve Whaley

Steve Whaley is a seasoned professional in alternative energy transportation with a diverse background spanning over three decades. Currently serving as the Alternative Fuels Manager - East at Blue Bird Corporation since January 2024, Whaley specializes in alternative energy solutions for commercial vehicles and infrastructure. Previous roles include Director of Autogas Business Development at the Propane Education & Research Council, where responsibilities centered on expanding propane autogas market share across various vehicle markets. As President of Whaley Clean Transportation Consulting, Whaley provided independent cost analysis for alternative energy projects. Experience also includes serving as Eastern U.S. Regional Sales Manager at Agility Fuel Solutions and Director of Business Development at ROUSH CleanTech. Whaley's early career featured leadership roles in research and development at Alliance AutoGas, field application engineering at Digimarc, and executive management at the Graphic Arts Institute. Whaley holds a Master’s Degree in Industrial Education from Clemson University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Education from Virginia Tech.
