Alex Smith

Alex Smith currently serves as the Executive Director of Engineering at Blue Canyon Technologies since September 2025. Prior to this role, Alex held positions at Blue Origin as the leader for Lunar Permanence & Blue Ring from February 2022 to September 2025 and at Raytheon Technologies as a Senior Manager in Systems Engineering for Space Vehicle Engineering from May 2020 to February 2022. Earlier experience includes a managerial role in Systems Engineering for Fleet Management at OneWeb from July 2014 to March 2020. Alex holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arizona.
