Jean Thompson has a long and diverse work experience. Jean started their career at IBM in 1990 as a Programmer/Analyst and Technical Lead, where they were responsible for the design and implementation of a Data Warehouse for a large corporation. Jean then transitioned into a Project Manager role, where they managed a $60M Year 2000 project for a State Government. In 2010, Jean joined Blue Collar Objects as an Agile Product Owner and later became the Chief Operating Officer in 2015. In this role, they were responsible for various financial functions, such as financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and cost controls. Jean also oversaw contract management and reporting activities, as well as managed the human resources efforts of the organization.

Jean Thompson obtained their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from The City College of New York, where they studied from 1985 to 1988. Jean then pursued a Master's degree in Information Systems at the same institution, completing it from 1988 to 1989.
