Benjamin Dolan

Assistant County Attorney

Benjamin Dolan is a legal professional with extensive experience in various roles within the legal field. Beginning as a Legal Intern at the Pennington County Public Defender’s Office, Benjamin engaged in court appearances, jury trials, and drafting legal motions while representing clients. Following this, Benjamin served as a Legal Clerk at Tinan & Smith, focusing on legal research and client negotiations. Benjamin further advanced legal expertise as a Judicial Law Clerk with the Minnesota Judicial Branch, where responsibilities included reviewing legal documents and preparing memoranda for judges. Benjamin continued to develop in community development roles as Director of Community Development for the City of Montevideo and later as Regional Community Development Planner for the Mid-Minnesota Development Commission. Benjamin currently works as an Assistant County Attorney for Blue Earth County after serving in the same capacity for Nobles County. Benjamin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Public Administration from Southwest Minnesota State University and a Juris Doctorate from The University of South Dakota School of Law.
