Mike Sweeney

Mike Sweeney is an accomplished leader in conservation and strategy, currently serving as a member of the Director’s Council at the National Center for Ecological Analysis and Synthesis while also advising at METAL RAPTOR. They have held various strategic and leadership roles, including Chief Strategy & Resource Officer at Conservation International and Managing Director of Global Fisheries at The Nature Conservancy, where they implemented significant initiatives for sustainable fisheries. Sweeney's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in East Asian Studies from Harvard University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Their experience spans over three decades, including key roles in government and non-profits, shaping environmental policies and practices.
