Blue House Energy online learning opportunities supply certification training in a way that is low cost, easy to access, and does not take crews off job sites.

The Problem in our Industry

Successful energy-saving retrofits require a clear understanding of building science. The new building and energy codes are pushing energy advisers, renovators, contractors and trades to learn more about building science and good practice, simply to stay in the game and answer questions from customers. In fact, some jurisdictions are now requiring some level of training and certification in order to be trade partners for energy efficiency incentive programs.
Currently, there are no standards or qualifications for renovators and trades carrying out energy efficiency measures in Canada (other than product-driven licensing). There is also a lack of low cost and easy to access training in energy efficiency that does not take crews off job sites for consecutive days.

The BlueHouse Energy Solution

The solution is to supply certification training in a way that is:

* Low cost compared to classroom training.
*     Easy to access.
* Does not take crews off job sites.
