We provide professional editing for publishers, non-fiction authors, and academic writers who care about clarity, credibility, and impact.

Blue Leaf Editing is a boutique content editing firm based in Cape Town, South Africa. We specialise in non-fiction and academic editing. Think journal articles and academic monographs to memoirs, business books, and research-driven writing.

Our clients include independent publishers, academic presses, publishing service providers, and professionals with stories and expertise to share. We also work with long-term clients on blog editing and landing page content.

We’re not generalist freelancers. We come from inside the industry, with backgrounds in publishing, bookselling, content marketing, and editorial strategy. That means we bring a real-world understanding of how publishing works and what your readers (and editorial teams) will expect.

Our core services
- Academic editing: Journal articles, edited collections, academic books
- Non-fiction editing: Developmental, structural, copy editing, and proofreading
- Content editing: Blogs, landing pages, long-form digital content

If you’re looking for an editorial partner who knows their way around a manuscript (and the marketplace), let’s talk.
