Alexander Kripfgans

Alexander Kripfgans is a Bachelor of Engineering candidate in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering at the University of Michigan, expected to graduate in 2026. Currently, Alexander serves as Structures Lead at Blue Origin, leading the design and testing of a payload system for the New Shepard rocket and managing a team of engineers. Previously, Alexander held the position of Rocket Structures Lead at the Michigan Aeronautical Science Association, overseeing the design cycle of launch support structures, and as a Research Assistant in the Mechanical Engineering Department, focusing on vibration mitigation in aerospace components. Alexander also contributes as the Academic Chair of Sigma Gamma Tau, organizing academic events and mentorship initiatives. Additionally, as a Proposal Author for Bioastronautics and Life Support Systems, Alexander was instrumental in securing a $20,000 grant for NASA's X-Hab Academic Innovation Challenge.
