Curtis Johnson

Curtis Johnson is a Chief Engineer at Blue Origin, bringing over 35 years of experience in liquid rocket development. With a strong background in engine systems and vehicle designs, Curtis led the design and development of the BE-3 engine for New Shepard and provided technical guidance for both New Glenn and engines development teams. Prior to Blue Origin, Curtis founded Sierra Engineering, Inc., growing it into a successful venture while engaging in various aspects of rocket engine design and analysis. Curtis holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Davis.
