Principal Architect, New Shepard Space Launch System at Blue Origin

Ed Schatzman is a seasoned aerospace professional with extensive experience in engineering and leadership roles. Currently serving as Principal Architect for the New Shepard Space Launch System at Blue Origin since January 2022, Schatzman has previously held key positions including Chief Engineer at The Aerospace Corporation and Principal Chief Engineer at Blue Origin from 2012 to 2019. With a diverse career spanning over three decades at various organizations such as DAC, McDD, Boeing, and Blue Origin, Schatzman has been integral in designing, fabricating, assembling, testing, and integrating numerous aerospace and rocket systems. Schatzman holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Fullerton.
