Gavin Stanley is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in thermal mechanical engineering, particularly in the field of augmented reality and consumer electronics. Currently serving as Principal Thermal Systems Engineer at First Mode since June 2023, Gavin previously held the role of Principal Thermal Mechanical Engineer at Microsoft, where responsibilities included the thermal mechanical integration of next-generation Hololens products. With a strong foundation in thermal architecture, Gavin has led initiatives for Hololens2 and developed integrated thermal solutions for various Microsoft products, including the Xbox Kinect. Prior to Microsoft, Gavin worked at Intel Corporation in roles that encompassed technical project integration, thermal analysis, and mechanical design, contributing to the development of CoreTM products and engaging with industry customers. Gavin holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics from Pacific Lutheran University.
