Gilbert Flores

Gilbert Flores is an Avionics Design Mechanical Engineer at Blue Origin since October 2017, specializing in the design and development of avionics enclosures for launch vehicles, rocket engines, and crew capsules, ensuring high-quality standards for space flight. As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer since April 2012, Gilbert offers extensive expertise in product design and project management, utilizing advanced 3D modeling and design for manufacturability principles. Previous roles include Chief Engineer at North Star Ice Equipment, Engineering Manager at Macro Technologies, and Senior Mechanical Engineer at Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems, where innovative thermal management solutions were developed. Gilbert holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara.
