Ian Field

Ian Field is a propulsion engineer at Blue Origin since July 2022, with prior experience as the Triton-1 Propulsion Lead at The University of Texas at Arlington, where Ian led the propulsion team in developing a liquid rocket engine. Additional roles include a Mechanical System Design Intern at Firefly Aerospace, where Ian designed an IMU mounting bracket for the Alpha rocket, and various engineering positions at OLTOM LLC, focusing on drone development and design optimization. Ian has a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Dallas. Ian's leadership capabilities have been demonstrated through positions such as Team Lead for the UTD Hyperloop Competition Team and the UTD CanSat project.
