Jeff Lince

Jeff Lince is an independent consultant specializing in vacuum lubrication and tribological coatings, currently serving as the President of Space Tribology Consulting, Inc. Since 2019, they have provided expertise in tribology and surface chemistry related to space applications, and are recognized as a world expert in solid lubrication. Jeff has extensive experience in supporting government and commercial space programs and previously worked as a Senior Scientist at The Aerospace Corporation from 1985 to 2019, where they focused on solid lubrication and sliding electrical contacts. They also lectured on Upper Division Physical Chemistry at Mount St. Mary's University from 1986 to 1989 and are currently a Senior Technical Advisor at Blue Origin, offering insights on dry film lubrication for space hardware. Jeff earned a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from UCLA.
