John Appleby

John Appleby is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in materials and process engineering. Currently serving as Principal Engineer at Blue Origin since January 2022, John has held significant roles including Chief Metallurgist at Kratos Defense and Security Solutions and Materials Engineering Discipline Lead at Kratos Turbine Technologies. Prior experience encompasses management in new product introduction at Motorola Solutions and leadership in materials and process engineering at Pratt & Whitney. John earned an MBA in International Business from the University of Miami, a Master of Science in Engineering Management from the University of South Florida, and a Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.
