John Bowen

John Bowen is currently the Principal Development Lead for New Shepard Maintenance at Blue Origin, where they focus on advancing space technology. They previously served in the U.S. Navy as a Lieutenant and Reactor Control Officer, gaining extensive experience in nuclear operations and project management. Bowen has worked as a Project Manager at Syserco, Inc. and held various roles at Blue Origin, including Vehicle Manager and Senior Manager for Launch Vehicle Maintenance. They hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the United States Naval Academy and the University of Maryland College Park, respectively.
