John Cosso

John Cosso is a GSE and Tooling Engineer III at Blue Origin since May 2022, specializing in the design and analysis of spin test tooling for proof and burst testing. Previously, John served as a GSE and Tooling Engineer II at Blue Origin, where custom tools were designed to address manufacturing and handling challenges, enhancing rocket engine production. Prior experience includes working as a Component Analysis Engineer I at Framatome, focusing on the analysis of nuclear power plant components to meet ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code standards, and a Process Engineering Intern at Framatome, providing manufacturing support for nuclear fuel production. Early career experience includes an internship as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Ace Industries, where valuable skills in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD were developed, along with prototyping. John holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Idaho and a high school diploma from Middleton High School.
