Jon Lumb is an experienced aerospace engineering professional currently serving as the Director of Avionics at Blue Origin since January 2021. In this role, Jon also holds positions as Mk1 Avionics Engineering Operations Lead and Technical Program Director, alongside serving as Senior Manager for Avionics Systems Engineering in Lunar Transportation and Senior Manager for Systems Engineering. Prior to Blue Origin, Jon worked at AeroTEC as a Principal Engineer from November 2019 to January 2021, and at Crane Aerospace & Electronics from June 2008 to November 2019, where positions included Director of Engineering and Senior Manager of Engineering. Jon's earlier experience includes roles as Principal Systems Engineer at Dunlop Aerospace Braking Systems and Mechanical Engineer at Interfleet Technology, along with a foundation in simulation engineering. Jon earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Mechanical Engineering from UMIST between 1994 and 1997.
