Jone Chung

Principal Structural Engineer

Jone Chung is a skilled mechanical and structural engineer with extensive experience in the aerospace and marine research industries. Starting as a Design Engineer Intern at Daimler Chrysler, Jone gained foundational experience in laser beam welding technologies. A Mechanical Engineer role at Lockheed Martin in the undersea marine research group followed, along with positions at Boeing, where engineering efforts contributed to the 777-300ER struts and fairings. Notably, Jone worked as a Mechanical Engineer on the New Shepard Rocket Program and advanced to Senior Structural Engineer at Blue Origin, leading critical projects such as the HLS National Team Blue Moon Lunar Lander. Jone currently serves as Principal Structural Engineer in Advanced Development Programs at Blue Origin. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, both from the University of Washington, where graduation was achieved with Cum Laude honors.
